Raymond J. Grote, III is a Managing Director at Abelian Partners responsible for project execution and client relationships. He has served as an engagement manager for large Abelian projects as well as a subject matter expert on small business lending processes. During 2020 he also advised companies directly on PPP loans, debt restructuring, and M&A activities. Prior to Abelian, he was most recently Senior Vice President and Commercial Relationship Manager with Georgia Primary Bank. Previously, he held Commercial and Business Banking roles at Synovus, Bank of America, and CharterBank (now SouthState). He began his career as Vice President, Systems and Procedures Manager with a de novo community bank in his hometown of Newnan, Georgia. In this role, he wrote and maintained all the policies and procedures of the bank, assisted in capital raises, implemented new technologies, and engaged extensively with bank regulators.
Mr. Grote has expertise in client management, business lending, business cash management, financial analysis, banking regulation, banking operations, and business planning and execution. He is a 2005 graduate of Mercer University with a degree in Economics and minors in Finance and Spanish. In 2013, he also obtained an M.S. in Financial Institution Management from Boston University.
