Visa Receives Green Light to Acquire Plaid
- Visa has received regulatory approval to acquire fintech company Plaid by UK CMA officials.
- Plaid enables apps to connect to a user’s bank accounts, and allows direct payments to be made via merchant websites without the use of credit or debit cards.
AstraZeneca is Ramping Up Vaccine Production
Drugmaker AstraZeneca now has its COVID-19 vaccine in advanced trials, and has announced it has the capacity to make 3 billion doses when it is approved. However, the company says it will begin manufacturing millions of doses during the final phase of testing in an effort to scale-up production to billions of doses more quickly when needed.
