American Express Acquires Kabbage
- Kabbage, a fintech specializing in cash flow management for small businesses, has entered an agreement to be acquired by American Express.
- Kabbage offers lines of credit, online bill payment, and visualization tools, and will be integrated into American Express’ existing platform.
Free Internet for 35,000 Philadelphia Families
- Philadelphia city officials have announced a $17m plan to provide free internet access to 35,000 low-income families that currently lack it. The plan will be paid for by philanthropic, school, and CARES Act funding. Some houses will be wired for broadband access via Comcast’s Internet Essential program, while others will get T-Mobil hotspots.
