- As the US prepared for more protests sparked by the police killing of George Floyd, Trump threatened governors to deploy the military on Monday.
- By Monday, 23 states had militarized 17,000 National Guard members.

Facebook employees stage virtual walkout
- Some staff have taken issue with the company decision to allow Trump’s posts about social unrest to remain on the platform. Facebook says it refrains from fact-checking or removing politicians’ posts on the platform but will take down posts that glorify violence and spread misinformation.
- Twitter, by contrast, has shielded the tweet with a notice saying it violates Twitter’s rules against encouraging violence.
